Please note: If you bring your boss along the tour guide will drop the “wanker” from the title of this tour.
With an “extra” (read: large) up-front tip,
your tour guide will find a way to talk you up during the tour and, hopefully,
help you in getting that raise/promotion you so well deserve.
*You are welcome to join this tour whether the aforementioned suit is still worn or not.
*Public Displays of Affection are neither encouraged nor frowned upon during this tour. As long as love is in the air, do as you please.
(However, we prefer not to see any tongue. Tongue is just gross.)
Though, if you do plan for any PDAs, we request you bring your own partner. Our tour guides really aren't interested in playing substitue hand holders for strangers.
Two of our favorite lovebirds raved about their private tour.
Their tour/conceirge service included
a bicycle tour along the river,
a wine and cheese picnic in Rittenhouse Square, and
tickets for two to a great night out!

A tour of the infamous shopping and dining street.
Kept to a total of 11 walkers
because we can only handle 10 drunk people at a time and we figure
we’ll lose at least one along the way.
You'll feel smarter afterward-trust us
Come learn some of the history at the University of Pennsylvania,
along with some of their most enduring traditions:
1) How not to fail at your first exam
(makes not stepping on a crack to break your mother's back seem plausible)
2) The Button
3) Penn's connection to something creepy and spooky, mysterious and ooky
It's one visit to a college campus where you won't have to worry about whether or not you're going to fail any test because we don't give tests!
(Unless you really want one.)

Get ready to step back in time
to see how this country was birthed
Walk with us to the birthplace of our country and the burial place of Benjamin Franklin, from the home of Betsy Ross to Christ Church and everywhere in between.
And more importantly,
learn how they lived, loved, cried, died, lied and led this country to freedom.
Our tour guides are PASSIONATE about Philadelphia. We want you to be, too.
Therefore we tell you some of the best stories about the City of Brotherly Love.
We try to keep our tours intimate. Maybe even make some friends!
You'll love this part- all tours end near eateries recommended by your tour guide.
(You're in Philly, you gotta eat !)
1) Click on the "schedule" tab (above) and pick the tour time you want, then go to the "book a tour!" tab (another tab above) and tell us the tour time that best fits your needs.
2) Show up at the appointed location (found on the Schedule Tab). Find your guide- wearing their blue Philadelphia's Old Original Walking Tours t-shirt.
3) Pay $20 to your guide
4) Be happy and nice to the people on the tour. Or sullen and quiet. It's really up to you.
But please do enjoy the tour. (That part is mandatory.)
5) Your tour will end near where it began. Your guide at that time will also suggest
somewhere you can go to get some fattening...er... delicious Philly food.
TOURISTS/ WALKERS/ ROLLERS/ RIDERS of ALL ABILITIES are WELCOME on
Philadelphia's Old Original Walking Tours.
This always has been and always will be a multi-ability friendly tour.
If you have the ability to walk or roll from one block to 3 blocks at a time, pause a few minutes to listen to your Philadelphia's Old Original Walking Tours guide tell a fascinating (or at times, merely informative) story, then walk or roll another few blocks, listen to more incredible but true tales and so on for 1.6 miles in 90 minutes, then come along!
But if this pace is too much for you, you may want to choose a non-walking tour.
It is important to note that our Old City Tour will take us on some streets paved with bricks and cobblestones, making it a challenge for wheelchairs. But if you're game, we would LOVE to have you.
Not Perfect English?
If your English is not very good, do not worry.
Our tour guides will speak loudly to help you understand.
(That was a joke. It was not a very good joke. We Americans are not always funny.)
Our tour guides will speak clearly and use simple words.
If your tour guide speaks too quickly, we invite you to call out and ask them to slow down.
(We suggest shouting, "Please, slow down, Oh Excellent Tour Guide!")
How much does this tour cost?
Only $20!
As we are fond of saying:
As much fun (or more!) than going to a movie,
PLUS you get exercise to boot!
What more could you want?
Where do I meet my guide?
How do I find my way back after the tour ends?
When should I show up for my tour?
Ideally, it would be best to show up for the tour
5 minutes ahead of time.
That will give our guide enough time to greet you and get things
settled before the tour begins.
But if you show up at the last moment,
you are still welcome!
How do I know I am on the right tour?
Excellent question! Our official Philadelphia's Old Original Walking Tours guide will be wearing an official, blue Philadelphia's Old Original Walking Tours t-shirt.
We also like to think our Philadelphia's Old Original Walking Tours guides are the best looking guides in Philadelphia. If you think they are rather unattractive, this could be a sign that you are on the wrong tour. However, it could also be a sign that we are delusional in regards to our high admiration of our guides. If you happen to disagree with us, we'd prefer you not share this with our guides as some days they have rather fragile egos and can only handle praise and adoration.
How strenuous is this walk?
Another excellent question. Not strenuous at all.
We want our tours to be enjoyable, not a work out. (Except for our Work Out Tour.) But most of our tours are for people who can walk a block or two then stand while someone tells a fascinating (or at times merely informative) story about the area. Then walk another block, stand, walk, stand, etc. for approximately 90 minutes. We welcome visitors of all abilities, whether you are rolling along with us or walking.
We do, however, need to remind you that if this kind of pace is too much for you, you may want to choose a non-walking tour.
Can I set up a private group tour?
Of course! We will be happy to put together a private Philadelphia's Old Original Walking Tours group tour for ten or more people. We will work the tour
around your group's schedule, depending upon the tour you choose.
Just contact us and tell us which tour you would like and when you'd like it.
You don't have a group but still want a private tour?
Simply check out our next
frequently asked question entitled,
"What about for a few poeple?"
What about a tour for a few people?
Yes!
We want each of our visitors to Philadelphia to feel welcome and to enjoy their time in the City of Brotherly Love. We know that sometimes visitors don't feel as comfortable in groups or may want to ask more questions during the tour.
Therefore we offer private tours, as well. The tour price will be changed in light of the one-on-one or one-on-a-few attention you will receive.
A private tour may, also, allow our guide to tailor the tour more closely to your interests.
Use the "book a tour!" tabe (above) to tell us:
1) How many people will be in your private tour
2) Which tour you'd like to take
3) The dates and times that will work best for you
